Our client is a FinTech Company operating globally and growing at a fast pace. Since 2007, they develop tailor-made and multi-asset class index solutions for ETFs and other index-linked investment products for the leading global investment banks and asset Managers. The software  development and core technology team is based in Berlin and responsible for the infrastructure, development, operation and maintenance of the index calculation and publication engine.

The FinTech company is still growing and looking for a Python Programmer for the Complex Operations Team in Frankfurt a.M., which calculates indices based on futures, options and FX Instruments as well as non-delta one strategies on Equities and Fixed Income. Join the team!

Your responsibilities:

  • Using Python to program our client’s index algorithms
  • Creating an efficient and automated process for our index rebalancing with Python
  • Performing scheduled index rebalances and reconstitutions
  • Optimizing and automating existing internal processes
  • Assisting our international client base with index and/or operational inquiries
  • Specifying and testing new features in our calculation engine
  • Verifying and monitoring index calculations on a daily basis

 

Your qualifications:

  • Academic degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or similar
  • Interest in capital markets
  • Experience in the financial industry would be an advantage
  • First practical programming experience with Python
  • Very good knowledge of Python and advanced knowledge of VBA/Excel
  • Self-driven, reliable and innovative approach to work
  • Experience with Reuters, FactSet or Bloomberg would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit
  • Fluency in English (written and oral)
